Here is the short video of Chase on Christmas morning. You can just imagine all the thoughts going through his little head...so cute!
Shane and Michele were married on October 9, 2004 and welcomed their first child, a son named Chase, in August of 2006. Chase became a big brother in March 2009 to baby Ethan! In May 2011, it was Ethan's turn to become a big brother to our sweet baby girl, Kate. We hope you enjoy our blog!

HELP!!!
Okay, I am asking for some advice from you other moms and dads. Chase seems to have a new habit. About 3 times a week, he makes number 2 in the tub. You can imagine what kind of texture that takes while soaking in the tub while I hurry to get Chase out and dried off. My gag reflux (and bottle of Lysol) is begging for suggestions...any advice????

Merry Christmas!
Someone must have been a very good boy this year, because Santa surprised our little man with LOTS of new toys! The big item is Chase's new play house. It has a working doorbell and play phone and he loves going in and out the door. He got so much stuff, I don't even think he's had a chance to play with all of it yet.
We had a very nice and quiet Christmas Eve. Shane and I shared a nice meal and wine and then the 3 of us sang Happy Birthday to Jesus before we spread our lawn with food for the reindeer. My parents stopped by later that evening and we were able to open gifts with them.
We were able to spend Christmas Day with Shane's family since they do not have any young children for Chase to share his virus with and I think Chase really enjoyed being the center of attention all day :-)
I have a short video of Chase on Christmas morning that I will post when I remember how to upload it to the computer (I haven't used our video camera since Chase's birth...I've just been using our digital camera for short videos). But he seemed pretty happy to walk into a living room full of new toys.
We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Years!

It's Back
Chase just tested positive for RSV...the virus that put him in the hospital last February. Poor Baby is once again on breathing treatments every 4 hours and overall feeling bad. He struggles to breathe and coughs all day long. We're hoping that the treatments at home will work and we can stay out of the hospital...especially for the holidays.
Most of our Christmas plans have changed, as Chase cannot be around other small children since the virus is so contagious. Looks like a quiet Christmas at home for us this year.

Silly Chase
I always hear people talk about the difference between boys and girls. Girls get together and play sweetly with each other and their dolls. Boys run around like crazy. Well Chase has certainly proven his masculinity. He is constantly head butting, tacking & wrestling, jumping on the couch or running in circles. It is so funny. He has become much more talkative over the last few weeks as well.
Here's a short video of Chase tonight about half an hour before bedtime. I wish I would have broken out the camera earlier because he was acting so funny. But by the time I grab the camera, he had calmed down a lot (believe it or not)!

Weekend Update
We did have a very busy weekend planned, but it just didn't work out that way. We were supposed to go to a Couple's Shower Friday night, a Christmas party Saturday night and the Hornets game tonight. I ended up getting so sick that I couldn't go anywhere, and just when I started feeling better, poor Chase started getting really sick. He is currently on round the clock breathing treatments and we're hoping that his airways clear up and we can keep him out of the hospital!
Needless to say, we ended up staying home all weekend. We did take Chase to a Santa breakfast on Saturday morning and tried to get his picture with Santa. Well this as close as we got...he was TERRIFIED! Poor baby!

Then today I took Chase for a wagon ride outside trying to cheer him up, and he passed out cold within 10 minutes.

Happy 16 Months, Chase!
Chase turned 16 months old today. I had planned to take another lamb chair picture at 15 months, but time just slipped away. Here are today's lamb chair picture versus his 1 year picture! He certainly has a lot more teeth!
