Dancing King!

Chase REALLY loves to shake his booty. This was him on Saturday morning when the CHOO CHOO song came on the Disney Channel. It's the most TV he's ever watched!

Oh Shoot!

Well, it happened! If you refer back to my post on January 16th, you'll see that I mentioned how Chase is now repeating EVERYTHING we say. For example, the other day Shane sneezed twice in a row and Chase immediately responded with a fake "Ah-Choo". It's like living with a parrot.

Well we knew we had to be very careful about what we were saying in front of him, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. Yesterady I was running some errands with Chase in the car. I accidently passed up the store I was trying to get to, and mumbled a bad word under my breath (it's the naughty word for poo-poo, we'll just call it "shoot" for the blogger's purposes).

Chase immediately responded with "Oh, Shoot" (but used the correct curse word that I had just said). I said, "What did you just say?" and he responded again with "Oh, Shoot".

I said, "Oh No, please don't say that anymore" and he again responded with "Oh, "shoot".

Then later that evening, I was on the phone with my mom telling her the story and Chase must have heard me and then said the word two more times. Although it was absolutely hysterical, I am going to have to be VERY careful from now on! Lil' Stinker! :-)

Video Help!

Okay, I need some Blogger Video Help! I've been trying to post videos on the blog, but for some reason, the videos won't post. I used to go through Photobucket and pasted the embedded wording and that always worked. But now when I do that, I get an error saying "tag not closed" and the video won't post. So then I tried posting the video through the blogger's link, but all that shows up is a blank box with an "x" in it where the video should be. It's a quick time video that is only 24 mb, so it should post. Does anyone have any advice???? I see that other blogs are able to post videos just fine, so why am I having problems?

Happy 18 Months, Chase!

Chase turned 18 months old today! I can't believe he is a year and a half old already.

This afternoon he went for his 18 month check up. Chase weighed in at 27 1/2 lbs. and measured 33 1/4 inches tall which puts him in the 75th percentile for both! We've got a big boy on our hands!

Here are my best attempts at taking an 18 month lamb picture. His 16 month pic is on the bottom for comparison.

STUCK!

Chase was driving his red car and decided that he wanted to go through the door of his Learning Home. When he got stuck, he couldn't figure out what to do...it was so funny!

Also, lots of big baby news. Congrats to Stephanie and Brian Cook, Lenee and Dan Crowley and Gina and Phil Ferrara who all announced recently that they are expecting in the late summer of 2008. Check out their blogs!

Chase's 1st Mardi Gras Parade

Last year, Chase was unable to attend any Mardi Gras parades because of his RSV. So this year Shane and I were excited to take Chase to see his very first Mardi Gras parade.

Today we met my family for the Slidell Dionysus parade. Chase absolutley LOVED it! He even figured out how to wave his hands for the floats and danced every time a band passed. He had so much fun, and Shane and I had a blast just watching him take it all in. I think we might try our luck tomorrow night with a night parade (Eve in Mandeville).

Thank You so much, Butsie and Sissy for inviting us to join you and hooking us up with a fantastic parade set up (we even had a bathroom)!

Our Little Monkey

Chase has really been climbing and getting into everything lately. His new trick is to climb his desk and get the toys off the top shelf of his toy box. He doesn't want Mamma to get it for him...he wants to do it all by himself!

I let him do it for the camera, and then I immediately took him off and told him that was a no-no. I'm sure it won't be long before he tries it again :-)

Also, Chase's vocabulary has definitely improved over the last couple of weeks. He tries to repeat everything (and I mean everything) we say. He also has learned a few of his colors (red, blue and green). Our little smarty pants!

I have a video of it, but for some reason, every time I try to post it I get an error message that says tag is not closed. Can anyone help with this?

Until then, here is a link to the video:

Fun Weekend!

This past weekend was very busy, tons of fun and unfortunately, I forgot my camera for most of it :-(

Friday night we brought dinner over to the Bourgs' house and Shane was able to meet their 1 month old daughter, Mary Frances, for the first time. She is PRECIOUS! Chase and Conner had fun playing before Chase passed out and Conner ate dinner and dessert with the grown-ups.

Saturday, Shane and I dropped Chase off at my sister, Julie's house in Mississippi. He spent the night with Jay and Roo while Shane and I headed home and went to 2 parties that both happened to be on our side of the lake! First we went to Brad and Colleen's engagement party and then we finished the night celebrating Josh's 30th birthday.

Shane and I planned on sleeping in on Sunday morning, but we were both up at 6:30. So we got dressed and had a nice breakfast at The Broken Egg. We came home and tried falling back asleep before we had to pick Chase up, but we just ended up talking for hours. It was nice to have some alone, adult, one on one time with each other.

Monday afternoon, Jay and Roo came over to spend the night with us because Julie and Tory had a work party in Mandeville. Chase had so much fun playing with his cousins this weekend, but he was very confused tonight when they weren't here. He kept saying "Jay Jay" and "Roo Roo" all night...it was so cute!

Thanks Boo Boo and Uncle Tory for letting Chase stay the night...we can't wait to do it again :-)
