More Swimming!

Since Chase seemed to enjoy the pool at the gym so much on Friday, I immediately bought an inflatable pool for our yard on Saturday. Chase LOVES it.

Today after Daddy finished doing the yard work, he jumped in and joined us. It was a lot of fun!

As for the Big Boy, well this morning he woke up with a TOOTH! His first tooth! And he has finally started crawling. He doesn't go very far or very fast, but he can do it! He's growing up so fast!

Swim Time!

Today was Chase's first time ever at a pool. Chase and I met Christy, Conner, Heather and Bella at the baby pool at our gym this afternoon. I wasn't sure how Chase was going to be, but he LOVED it! He was so good.

At first he was still and quiet, but after a few minutes, Chase was ready to splash. This made me feel better about our beach trip in a couple of weeks.

Tough Life!

Weekend

Friday night, Jamie and Taylor came to spend the night. Unfortunately, we're o for 2 with Taylor spending the night at our house. She just can't seem to sleep over here, so I don't think Jamie will be trying this again for a while :-(

We tried really hard getting a cute picture of Chase and Taylor together, but that proved to be a lot more difficult than we thought.

This morning we went to Amelia and Abigail Spreen's birthday party at Country Critters. The kids got to feed the animals, ride a carousel and take pony rides. It was so much fun!

As for an update on Chase, he thinks he is such a big boy. I honestly don't know which is going to come first...crawling or walking. He's still not doing either, but about 2 weeks ago he finally started getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth (this was the first time he has shown any interest at all in crawling). But last week he started walking if you hold his hands. So we'll see....

Our New Yard

The landscapers finished working on our yard today, and I have to say they did an amazing job. They removed all the mulch from all the trees we had cut down, filled the holes with dirt and sod, they filled in the 2 ditches in our back yard and laid sod over that, fixed up the 2 front garden beds and lined it with bricks, created another garden bed in the front yard, added 2 garden beds in the back plus 3 Crepe Myrtle trees and 6 azalea bushes.

Our back yard is still a little bare, but it looks so much better! I'm looking forward to many grill outs in our yard!

Dada is staying!

Shane was supposed to leave this morning to go to New York for work. He hasn't been out of town since Chase was born.

Well Chase must have said his prayers last night, because the weather in the northeast has caused so many flight delays and cancellations that now Shane's trip is postponed. Chase was very happy!

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Frentz

Tonight Shane's good friend, Keith, is getting married and Shane is one of the groomsmen. Last night was the rehearsal dinner at Annadele's Plantation in Covington. We had so much fun! It was so great to sit down at a nice dinner with so many other couples.

Once the dinner was over, we headed to the piano bar downstairs where it got a little crazy.

Baby Talk

Chase was all talk today after lunch, so I broke out the digital camera and took a short video of him talking. I think he said something close to "Dada", but Shane thinks I'm crazy.

After our little chat, we went outside for some fun in the sun.

8 Months!

Today Chase turned 8 months old. My baby is getting so big (and cute)! Here is a picture of him in his lamb chair at 7 months and today at 8 months.
