Poor Baby!

On Sunday, Shane and I took Chase to the Urgent Care. He had a red throat, an ear infection and pink eye. My poor baby!

Today I took him to see his pediatrician because he seemed to be getting worse...and I was right. His ear infection is worse and he now also has a respiratory infection causing him to cough & sneeze constantly. Poor Chase is just miserable and I feel so helpless.

Here are some pics of him this morning while I was giving him a breathing treatment. He fell asleep in my computer chair, which is totally out of character for the Chase Man.

Hopefully the rocephin shot he got today will speed up the healing process!

Counting Chase

Many of you know that Chase is not known for his patience (I don't know where he gets that from)! :-) Well the other day when he started to throw a fit because I couldn't make his juice fast enough, I asked him to calm down and to count to ten with me. I was amazed when I heard him actually doing it. I didn't even know that Chase could count! He gets a little stuck at five, six and seven (he thinks they're all six) but he knows the rest. What a smarty! Here's a short video of him counting in the tub tonight:

Visit with the Straughans

Mammy and I took Chase on his very first plane ride to spend a long weekend with my sister, Jamie, and her family. We had soooo much fun! Chase absolutely loved playing with his cousins, hanging out with his Pan Pan and yelling at his Nanny. My sister ("Nanny") has a tendancy to aggravate young children and Chase immediately started yelling back, "Stop it, Nanny". Now that's all he says. He didn't even know the word "Stop" before this weekend.

Chase had a blast wrestling his two older cousins. I think he forgot the fact that he is only 1 1/2 years old and they are 10 because Chase kept pulling both of them off the couch, onto the floor and terrorizing them. It was so funny!

The weekend was so wonderful, I just wish the plane ride would have been the same. I really thought Chase was going to be fine on the plane. I packed lots of snacks, a portable DVD player with cartoons, toy cars and books to entertain him for the 1 hour flight. Well to make a VERY long story short, Chase completely freaked out, went into terror mode screaming at the top of his lungs, trying to jump out of my arms into the ailse and off the plane. He threw up twice all over himself, me and the plane. The flight attendant came out with bio hazard bags, poured the powder solution all over his vomit and had to change out our seat. The man sitting in our row moved to another seat on the plane. Chase thew himself on the floor of the plane (all the while still screaming at the top of his lungs for the entire plane to listen), rolled around in his "powerdered" vomit and finally passed out. IT WAS HORRIBLE and needless to say, he won't be on a plane again for many years to come.

But the rest of the visit was better. Chase was on good behavior all weekend long.

Thank you so much Straughan Family for having us over and to Mammy for helping me on the plane ride with Chase :-)

Playing Hard

Today was such a beautiful day, that Chase and I spent most of it outside. We went swimming in his kiddie pool, washed my car, went for a wagon ride, and ran around the yard for hours playing with the girls next door.

He must have worn himself out because after he ate dinner, he pulled his two favorite, oversized stuffed animals into the kitchen. He just cuddled them on the tile floor while I cleaned up. For those of you who know Chase, you know he is not one to sit still much less lay on the floor. He must have been pooped!
