Happy 3 Months, Ethan!

Ethan turned 3 months old on Monday. He is doing so many things. I swear, Ethan is one of the happiest, laid back babies I've ever encountered. He is always smiling and he talks up a storm at the top of his lungs. It's rare to hear him cry. I just can't get over how happy he always is. Since we started adding rice cereal to his bottles (for his reflux), Ethan has really started to fill out. I just love those rolls on his legs!

While the Straughan family was in town visiting last week, my sister helped me out and babysat Ethan while I took Chase to a couple of doctor's appointments (thank you so much, Nanny)!!

Chase and Ethan already love each other so much...it's absolutely adorable!

Happy Father's Day to everyone! I had the boys dress like Shane on Father's Day. I thought it was so cute, but Shane totally made fun of me for it. Chase really enjoyed playing golf with his daddy, and he's actually pretty good at it, too.

We've been doing a lot of tummy time per instructions by Ethan's physical therapist. Poor baby really dislikes it, so it usually only lasts about 4 minutes at a time.

Weekend Pics

My sister, Jamie, and her kids are in town so we went over to my mom's house this weekend to visit with them. We didn't get home until 9:30, well past Chase's bedtime. I took Ethan out of the car first and put him to bed. When I went back to the car to get Chase, this is how I found him:

It's hard work being this cute!

I took advantage of the fact all four of us were dressed this weekend for a birthday party and asked my wonderful neighbors to take a rare picture of the four of us! This was the best attempt to get all four of us looking at the camera. Now if we could get all of us to smile at the same time, too :-)

Race Day!

Today the four of us ran our first race as a family. It was a local 5K at the Abita Springs Trailhead for the Mary Payton Foundation. What an awesome day! The weather was beautiful, the set up was perfect for families with tons of free food, drinks, entertainment and the location has a park and fountains for the children to play in!

The only problem was that we had to borrow a jogging stoller since we only have one jogging stroller but two kids to push. The stroller we borrowed had a slight defect in that it would not turn and naturally went to the left. It took a lot of work to keep it straight and it tired us out quickly, so Shane and I had to keep switching strollers throughout the race (although he got stuck with it for majority of the race).

Chase did fight us at first because he didn't want to get in the stroller, he wanted to actually run the race. So cute! I can't wait until he's old enough to run with us. Luckily for us, the race had a booth with doughnuts and we bribed Chase into the stroller with that :-)

After the race, Chase had fun playing in the fountains while I enjoyed a free iced coffee and Shane had a free smoothie!

Friday night before we went to bed, Shane and I did our usual rounds of checking on the kids. This is how we found Chase sleeping in his bed...with a book over his face and his finger marking his place. We were dying laughing!

Thursday, I took Chase to the Lakefront to play. He loved the swings and watching the water. He said he wanted to go fishing...I think we'll have to get Pan Pan and Uncle Tory to help with that :-)

What's your name?

I thought this video was too cute not to share. It's a short one of Chase telling me all of our names. I love how he pronouces our last name as "Mc Coffee"!
