The Naked Yard

We have had some "issues" over the last 2 and a half years with the trees in our yard and most of those issues resulted in us having to pay someone to cut down the trees. Up until last week we have already had 7 trees cut in our yard.

Last week we had another dead pine tree cut down in our back yard. When the man came to pick up his check, he pointed out how another pine tree in our yard was dying (it wasn't until then did we notice the bugs and dead pine needles).

Shane and I were so fed up that we paid the guy to cut down all the remaining trees in our back yard with the exception of 1 tree that is along our fence line. The result is a VERY bare and naked yard.

Don't worry, we had a landscaper come out last week and again today to plant some "color" in our yard so hopefully it won't be so naked by summer.

Stomach Bug

Well, we've been attacked by the stomach bug. Chase woke up around 3:00 am Friday night/Saturday morning screaming. When I went to check on him, he was covered in vomit. It's been downhill since then. He has it coming out of both ends and it hasn't stopped. We can only give him a tiny bit of Pedialyte every hour or so until his gut is rested and he can handle formula again.

Needless to say, he is STARVING and VERY FUSSY! To make matters worse, he gave it to me on Sunday. Even though it only lasted about 24 hours on me, it's still bothering the Chase-Man.

Hopefully it will all clear up soon!
