Weekend Update

Chase spent the night at Boo Boo and Uncle Tory's house this week. It was tough getting him in the car, but once he got there Chase had a blast. He didn't even want to come back home with me. He said he wanted to stay with Boo Boo. He had a blast playing with Jay and Roo and sharing "little tiger" and "big tiger" (which is now in my house). I think we might make this a weekly event, right Boo Boo?! :-)

Look how long I am getting!

Due to Ethan's breathing issues, he has to stay elevated at all times. He has been sleeping in his bouncy seat, but I was getting worried that we would have a tough time getting him to sleep in his bed in the future. So I rigged up his mattress with a couple of phone books and so far it's seems to be doing the trick. Here's Ethan sleeping in his crib (arms straight up).

Chase and the little girl next door, Anna, have a love-hate relationship. They love playing with each other, but they usually end up in a brawl of some sort. It's pretty entertaining. Well yesterday he and Anna were sharing her Barbie jeep very well. Chase would open the door for Anna and she would climb in and he would close the door for her. Then he had to drive her to the "castle" where she would get out of the car and lay down, close her eyes and hold her flowers over her stomach (apparently just like Sleeping Beauty). Then Chase would have to kiss her to wake her up and she would get back in the car. It was absolutely hysterical to watch them play and go on their "first date". Erin (Anna's mom) and I were dying laughing. Scott (Anna's dad) was watching carefully :-)

Then last night was the best part of the weekend. As I've mentioned before, Chase has not allowed ANYONE to take care of him besides myself since we've been home from the hospital. He won't let Shane help in anyway. Finally last night he allowed Shane to give him a bath and put on his pjs....Thank goodness! This was the first time since we've brought Ethan home that I didn't have to do it. Of course we did bribe him with juice, candy and tv...but you take what you can get!

We had so much fun with Chase & I'm glad he is enjoying the big tiger so much.

I will definitely take him again - he loves his Boo-Boo!

I would be more than happy to give you any stuffed animals we have in the house - we have too many. Send Chase over & we'll give you some more. :)
